Recently I’ve noticed that quite a few asthma sufferers (also laryngeal obstruction, chronic bronchitis, chronic pharyngitis…) have taken a 【detour】 while searching for help—especially when they turn to Chinese medicine and herbal formulas
They’ve wasted money, their asthma has worsened, they’ve hurt not only the lungs but also the liver, kidneys, and heart; while harming the body they’ve even wounded the soul…
The 【detour】 is this: inside the herbal brew, somebody has slipped in 【little white tablets】!
Little white tablets are nothing more than Western drugs—mainly steroids, antibiotics, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories💊—in short, 【painkillers】!
So the moment you swallow the stuff the symptoms vanish, the moment you stop they come roaring back!
They damage the stomach, liver, and kidneys—terrifying!
Painkillers are basically anesthetics; they treat the branch, not the root, they numb the nerves, so of course there’s no cough, no wheeze, no pain.
Pull a tooth, get a pain shot—you won’t feel a thing!
Pull teeth every day, shoot up every day—it still “works”!
Asthma flares every single day—use an anesthetic and sure, it “works”!
But in the process you wreck the stomach, liver, and kidneys and make the disease even harder to cure!
These quacks in Chinese clothing offer pre-cooked herb bags (hot broth in plastic—hello, plasticizers!) and, if they’re fancy, let you recline on an electric massage chair while they chat you up and “relax” you; while you’re distracted they grind the 【little white tablets】 into powder and stir them into the decoction!
Whether their skill is high or low is beside the point—their conscience is rotten!
When caught, some brazenly claim this is “integration of Chinese and Western medicine,” a “compound preparation,” better results!
Utter nonsense!
Authentic asthma formulas in Chinese medicine treat both root and branch, guiding qi and guiding blood; Western drugs treat only the branch, guide qi but ignore blood, so afterwards you feel chest tightness, chest pain, fatigue.
Western drugs not only fail to guide blood, they numb the nerves and block vessels—especially the tiny capillaries at the extremities.
For lungs and kidneys this is deadly: one can no longer exchange oxygen, the other can no longer expel toxins—how can a person survive?
Even if it doesn’t reach that extreme, blood stasis is inevitable, so cold feet, icy knees, and allergies are bound to appear!
But the ancient qi-and-blood-guiding formulas—like Xiao Qing Long Tang—can no longer clear the cold toxins of 【modern asthma】.
Besides air pollution and food additives, there is now the drug poison of Western meds—all man-made.
The toxins are too deep and too many.
The worst of all is IV drips: antibiotics shot straight into the bloodstream; the poison enters the blood immediately, plugging the vessels and blocking the capillaries at the extremities, so feet turn cold, knees chill, digestion fails, leaky gut and allergies flare, the tongue coat turns thick and greasy, appetite vanishes, fatigue sets in…
You know the spleen and stomach have been injured.
What you may not know is that painkillers and anesthetics devastate the kidneys even more, for the kidneys are silent organs—no pain nerves inside.
Even as glomeruli die off batch after batch, there is no warning, no rebirth.
So never swallow pills casually, even if they’re labeled Chinese medicine, including patent pills (many have been spiked with steroids—and are government-approved)!
If you must take medicine and the doctor has written a proper formula, avoid filling the prescription at the hospital, especially the big-hospital herb dispensaries; the unspoken rule—you know it—is leftover dregs and chemical adulterants, fertilizer that ruins the soil, so how can it cure disease?
Don’t fear the hassle; go to a trustworthy herb shop and buy the ingredients yourself!
A great doctor with great virtue never takes kickbacks on herbs—he will gladly let you procure your own.
In the past Shanghai had two excellent pharmacies, but after restructuring who knows?
In Beijing I trusted White Pagoda Temple Pharmacy, yet having been away from China for years I can no longer vouch for the quality of their herbs.
